5 steps to stakeholder engagement and co-creation
Tour/site visit for consultation with residents and entrepreneurs
Visiting a residential area in person gives residents and civil servants a chance to collaborate on determining the state of the area and what can be improved. In addition to discussing ideas and wishes about an initiative, residents can share their views about the quality of life in the neighbourhood. Involving residents increases their sense of responsibility for the neighbourhood. The site visit can be done on foot, by bicycle or bus. It is important to create a positive atmosphere during the tour, to make clear agreements about action points, and to follow up soon afterwards.
