Educating children on climate adaptation outside the regular school programme

We know that the youth only spend 16% of their time at school. It is therefore important – especially within their own neighbourhood, family, and circle of friends – to look for opportunities where they can develop their knowledge and involvement with climate issues. Children are often members of clubs in their free time, and it is therefore important to connect with these organisations and to offer activities that are linked to climate. In Leiden we have many providers that support this.
