Dry stone walls
How to save this page as PDF
Dry stone walls do not cost more than masonry or concrete boundaries and offer living space to specific species such as salamanders, beetles, mosses, ferns and other wall vegetation in the seams between the dryly stacked stones in the shade or in sunlight.
Dry stone walls can be made from natural stone, but also from reused sidewalk tiles or clinkers. Dry stone walls can even be made from chunks of construction waste.
